Cozy beer-hall vibes and big steins make this a great spot to settle in after a stroll through Spittelberg. The Gebackene Käsevariation was crispy outside, melty inside, and perfect with the lingonberry and creamy dip. The BBQ ribs stole the show, tender, nicely grilled, and not too loaded in sauce, an absolute must-order. The pork schnitzel was well-fried and came with a tasty potato salad, but I was disappointed that they only offered pork even though it’s advertised as “Wiener schnitzel”, I was expecting beef.
Service was efficient and quick, though not particularly warm; nothing rude, just not very personable. Atmosphere, however, is excellent, lively, comfortable, and exactly what you want from a classic Viennese pub. Also great for large groups.
Would return, especially for those ribs.
